About The Lake

Bulls Head Angling Club offers a well-established and carefully managed members-only fishery, providing a peaceful and rewarding angling experience in a secure and private setting.

The lake is a mixed fishery, catering for a wide range of angling styles—from pleasure fishing to more specialist carp and pike fishing. With a large, healthy stock of fish, there is no shortage of action, and the lake is home to carp up to 26lb.

A Members-Only Fishery

Founded in 1976, the club has built a strong reputation as a friendly and well-run fishery. Membership runs from February to February, giving anglers year-round access to a well-maintained and exclusive water.

The lake is fully fenced and benefits from secure parking, offering members peace of mind while fishing.

The Fishery & Facilities

The lake features 30 well-spaced pegs, all built as solid wooden platforms with steps leading down for safe and comfortable access.

A clear path runs all the way around the lake, making navigation easy for all anglers.

Additional facilities include:

25 car parking spaces close to the water

Secure, gated access

A clean and well-kept environment

Please note that while access around the lake is clear, there is currently no disabled access to the pegs.

The Fishing Experience

Bulls Head Angling Club provides a balanced and enjoyable fishing experience for anglers of all levels.

The well-maintained pegs, peaceful surroundings, and strong fish stock make it an ideal venue whether you’re looking for a relaxed session or targeting larger fish.

A dedicated team of bailiffs regularly monitor the water to ensure the lake remains tidy, safe, and secure, and that all club rules are followed.

Ongoing Improvements

The fishery is continuously improving through ongoing work carried out by both the committee and members. This includes peg upgrades, general maintenance, and stock management to ensure the lake remains in top condition.

A Community Effort

Members are encouraged to take part in work parties to help maintain and improve the fishery.

Disabled members are exempt from work party requirements

Non-disabled members may choose to opt out by purchasing an overstamp

This flexible approach ensures the lake is maintained while remaining accessible to all members.
